Inspiration behind the song
“The Joy of the Lord was birthed during a long drive home with my mom. I was playing drums at the time with my mother’s ministry, and we were so tired. We began to console each other, and God reminded us that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. This song carried us through that night and yet it remains to remind our ministry that the Joy of the Lord is our strength.” – Wendy Peterson
