International Gospel Recording Artist Chevelle Franklyn gives her take on the viral Hill & Gully riddim produced by Stephen Di Genius McGregor

It was as if the rhythm spoke to me and told me where to go with it. I wrote this song in a few hours because this is my reality, and I know it’s many people’s reality too.

Everything I’ve stepped into now was once just a dream of my life becoming better one day. Little by little, God made a way. So to those who aren’t in the best spot in life right now: that pit situation isn’t permanent. Change is coming. One day, you’ll see that God wasn’t punishing you; He was processing you. I received this change in my life with gratitude and humility. I share with those I can help, while still trusting God for the next level.

Life wasn’t a bed of roses. There was so much pain, insults, rejection, and loneliness. But God didn’t forget me, and He won’t forget you.

Keep speaking life and stay determined, because help is on the way.
