Let us reverence Jesus – the Lion of Judah
In C.S. Lewis’ series, The Chronicles of Narnia, the character who represents Jesus is a lion, named Aslan. After hearing that Aslan is a lion, Susan asks if he is safe. The answer she receives is that of course he is not safe, after all, he is a lion; but he is good.
In this season of advent Jesus is often portrayed as a gentle, harmless babe. However, let us remember that the same Jesus who extends an open welcome to all, has all power and authority.
