Acclaimed British reggae and soul artist Toyin Adekale has released her inspiring new single, “He Loves Me, This I Know,” on June 5. Marking an exciting new chapter in her celebrated career, the track blends heartfelt gospel influences with Toyin’s signature soulful sound.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Toyin Adekale first rose to prominence when her hit single “Let’s Make Love” topped the British reggae charts. She has since performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Buckingham Palace, the Kremlin, and the Houses of Parliament, captivating audiences that have included royalty, presidents, and global dignitaries.
Best known for her 13-year tenure performing with the internationally renowned group Boney M featuring Maizie Williams, Toyin has also collaborated with notable artists such as Soul II Soul and Maxi Priest. Her catalogue includes fan favourites like “Touch A Four Leaf Clover,” “Gee Baby,” and “Jealousy.”
Her new single, “He Loves Me, This I Know,” is the latest collaboration with producer Mi-Kee Koos of Lord Koos Records, continuing a creative partnership that began with their rendition of Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend” and the Oscar-nominated track “We’re All In This Together.”
Rooted deeply in faith, Toyin describes gospel music as a natural extension of her artistry. “He Loves Me, This I Know” delivers a message of hope, reassurance, and unwavering love—aimed at uplifting listeners across both gospel and mainstream audiences.
“This song is very personal to me,” says Toyin. “It reflects my journey, my faith, and the message I want to share with the world—that no matter what we face, we are loved.”
